Three of AZ Devo’s own took to the starting line for the inaugural NICA race at McDowell Mountain Park on Sunday. Cal Skilsky (Ironwood Ridge HS) placed 4th and Sam Wilson (Independent) placed 8th in the varsity boys event. Andrew Myrick (Prescott HS) placed 3rd in the junior varsity.
More than 170 high school racers participated – setting the second highest number for a first time event in all of the NICA leagues. Most of these riders had never raced before… Arizona HS racing is off to a great start! There are three races remaining this season so be sure to follow the excitement.
